Why Nevada?

There are several advantages to building our concentrating solar plant in Las Vegas.

· Nevada is the state with the most solar energy potential in the United States and the number one state in solar watts per capita and solar as a percentage of retail sales.  Nevada is capable of handling utility plant production of 100’s of megawatts of solar energy.

· Nevada has vast expanses of open desert, hot sizzling summers and short periods of winter weather.  Nevada is considered better suited for large-scale concentrating solar energy firms.

· Nevada has enough solar energy capacity to power the entire nation, making Nevada a leading state to be at center of the emerging renewable energy industry in the United States.

· High population growth in Nevada and the surrounding western states provides clientele for our potential clients, leading to a stable revenue growth stream

· Nevada State law mandates that a significant portion of the energy comes from renewable sources by 2015, making Nevada utilities a natural source of clients.

· Nevada is a very business-friendly state, with state laws trended favorably to business.

· While many rural areas in Nevada are set far from the current grid infrastructure, which is a distinct disadvantage, the Federal government is increasingly focusing on developing a “Smart Grid”, which will allow for seamless integration between the smart grid and VirgoStar Solar generated electricity.
